8 Bucket List Ideas That Are Based Outdoors

Do you enjoy being outside? The United States offers some of the most beautiful and dramatic scenery globally, making it tough to decide what to see! Here are eight of the top outdoor bucket list ideas in the US, including some that are well-known around the world and some that are less well-known but no less lovely.

A bucket list is a compilation of experiences that a person wants to have before passing away. Although it may appear gloomy, having a bucket list is quite necessary! Bucket lists might assist you in determining what you really want out of life. They also inspire you to study more about how to make your ideas a reality. And when you decide to travel around the world you must keep in your mind to explore business directories like Yelp, and QRG101 for the best services where you can find the best restaurants, hire taxi services, and much more.

Outdoor Bucket List Ideas 3Eight Amazing Outdoor Bucket List Ideas

Take a look at some of the fantastic options listed below if you need some inspiration. These bucket list ideas are divided into printable lists that you may check off during the year to make things easier.

1. Hiking

Hiking is a trendy activity for people who want to spend time outdoors. Trails for various skill levels can be found all around the world. However, once you go over the first few miles of any trip, you’ll find yourself out of the traveler trap and into a more enticing trip. Mix camping and hiking on a backpacking trip to genuinely connect with nature.

2. In the desert, take a camel trip

A camel ride through the desert is something that should be on everyone’s bucket list. Don a Bedouin tunic and hat, and include a stop at a local cafe for a drink of syrupy mint tea for the full immersion experience.

Choose between a fully muzzled, supposedly more ferocious beast and one with available teeth.

Your toes’ fate may be determined by the decision made by the person riding behind you. Visit early in the morning to escape the hottest part of the day (although this is subjective).

3. Drift beneath a starry sky

See a starry night but from the inside of a cave! Go on a rubber tube and float through ancient caves on an underground river, jumping backwards off the occasional mini-waterfall on your way to the inner galaxy of stars.

4. Actual Star Gazing

One of the many advantages of traveling on the outskirts is the night sky. Light pollution does not interfere with seeing planets, meteors, constellations, and other celestial objects.

Discovering a nice dark sky location or a remote location away from cities might introduce you to a new pastime and provide an excellent opportunity to learn about astronomy. If you live in Georgia for example, you can hire best limo services to drive you there.

5. Fishing

Fly-fishing is a great way to appreciate the sounds, smells, and vistas of some of the world’s most beautiful places while standing in a river.

Fishing is a great multi-generational hobby to do with your kids, grandparents, or anybody else. You might even catch a coveted cutthroat trout with enough practice.

However, you’ll need to purchase a fishing license first. You’ll also need to examine online government and state resources to ensure you’re up to speed on each area’s hunting and fishing rules and restrictions (for both salt and freshwater fishing).

These license fees and rules aid in the conservation of fish populations. They also aid in the beautification of our waterways, and the preservation of our common lands for future generations.

6. Make a new favorite for the campfire treat

Cooking brings people together and creates lasting memories with family and friends—and it’s even better if you can do it outside! The beauty of cooking outside is that it doesn’t have to be elaborate.

In fact, the more straightforward, the better. You can have it sweet or savory. Your companions will undoubtedly applaud your efforts around the nighttime flickering flames.

Cooking goods at home, freezing them for the road and reheating over an open fire, or bringing your own seasonings for on-the-go meals are all options.

S’mores never fail to please, and they’re a traditional yet simple alternative that’ll have your camping buddies grinning from ear to ear.

7. Horseback riding

Many people may be hesitant because they have no experience with horses. However, most operations have horses for riders of all levels of skill, even those with none.

Horses can transport you over longer distances in less time, covering terrain that would otherwise be difficult or inaccessible.

8. Hot springs

Hot springs are a wonderful addition to any bucket list, and they are enjoyable virtually all year. Each small pool is a gift from Mother Nature and a great method to relax and heal aching muscles.

OTHER WORLDWIDE BUCKET LIST IDEAS

Cycling and Mountain Biking

Bike riding, whether on the path or on the road, allows you to speed down and appreciate your surroundings.

Mountain biking can provide even the most passionate adrenaline seekers with a rush, whereas road cycling can be a more peaceful and relaxing experience.

Your exploration possibilities have already been expanded by renting one or traveling by bike to your location.

Attend a concert outside

If you’re a fan of a band and they happen to be performing in town, it could be the ideal outdoor activity for you.

You may also go big and go to a music festival where you can groove out to a variety of artists.

Outdoor Yoga

Outdoor Bucket List Ideas 2Outdoor yoga is a great way to find inner peace and relax for a change of pace. Choose a few poses (or “asanas”) to practice, set the timer for 20 minutes, and begin by focusing on your breath as you relax into each pose for a few minutes.

Finding your favorite online yoga instructor and putting on a pair of headphones to enjoy “silent” outdoor yoga is a wonderful way to mix it up!

  • Swim in each of the world’s four great oceans.
  • Touch six of the seven continents (Antarctica is optional!) and visit at least three of the seven new Wonders of the World.
  • Traveling to the Grand Canyon
  • Traveling the length and breadth of the United States
  • Take a cruise for a week.
  • Witness the Aurora Borealis.
  • Scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef
  • Hike in the Himalayan Mountains
  • Take a safari in the wild.

Wrapping It Up

Traveling is frequently at the top of most people’s bucket lists. In fact, when writing down what you’d like to accomplish before you die, it’s generally the first thing that comes to mind.

Travel is fantastic, but it is often postponed until we have the “time” and “money” to do it. Unfortunately, many people mistakenly believe this to be retirement. That’s why using any of the aforementioned money-saving ideas is proposed to help you achieve these objectives.

There are some fabulous ideas on here. I’m not the outdoorsy type, but I have done outdoor yoga, hiking, horseriding and a hot spring. I would love to do proper star gazing one day

Guess what? I have done everything except 2: camel back riding and cycling. I should get to a real desert first. But I will never do cycling…don’t know how!

I am more the glamping type – I would rather stay in a caravan or bungalow than a tent

I wanna sleep on the beach, under a starry sky . Seems simple enough but I have to yet do this. And in your list, I definitely wanna do the cave tube at night under the stars. To me that sounds quite exotic and fun. A lovely bucketlist indeed!

Gazing at the stars and outside yoga are few things I would love to do when I am outside. I also love to hike, and do camping. Attending an outdoor concert I have not attended any yet, so pretty interested in that one too.

Horseback riding is one thing I have not yet tried. My oldest son is great with horses, and his girlfriend has a few. Maybe I will venture out of my comfort zone and give it a whirl.

I love the United States for its diversity and its endless opportunities for outdoor activities. I am especially hiking, camping, and stargazing. From one day, you can be in the mountains, and you will find yourself in the desert in a moment. But I have no camel trip yet in the US. I made such a trip when I was in Morocco. I love the hot springs in the US. The best, in my opinion, is in Oregon and Arizona. I would like to take yoga classes one day. It’s a great and inspirational article!

Quite love all these ideas and have done quite a few. Hot Springs is a favorite though. Although I am not a regular in outdoors but do love to venture out once in a while. Although I stayed near a desert during my university days, I am yet to ride a camel. In my bucket list for a while.

I feel quite lucky as I have already done seven out of these eight things on this outdoor bucket list. For myself I would add light water rafting and camping under the stars in a very specific place

Would actually want to try even just one of these as an active sport. I feel like exercise would be much more fun outdoors instead of just in the gym or indoors.

I love all of these outdoor bucket list ideas! I am happy to say that I have done just about all of them, but riding a camel in the desert and enjoying hot springs are both something I aspire to. Your idea of taking a limo to go stargazing would really amp up the experience, as well. Thanks for making me realize I need a separate bucket list just for outdoor activities. It’s a great way to organize fun plans!

Though I’m not an outdoors person, I’m pleasantly surprised that I’ve done a few of these! I haven’t managed to go horseback riding yet though, I’m terrified of falling off. If I can pick my favorite from this list it would be the hot springs.
