It all began with one fly, then another joined the party, and before we knew it, we had a full-blown insect invasion during our camping trip. I had invited some friends to enjoy the great outdoors in the warm, dry weather, but the flies seemed to think it was an all-you-can-bug buffet. It was sweltering, and we didn’t want to bundle up in extra layers, but those little feet tap-dancing all over us were driving us nuts.
That’s when I remembered I had brought along a nifty little contraption called Dr. Doug’s Bug Potion. With a healthy dose of skepticism, we liberally applied it to our legs and resumed our chitchat. To our surprise, the scent was delightful — so much so that we would have used it just for the fragrance alone. But then, like magic, we noticed that the swarm of 20 flies had dwindled down to just a couple. Coincidence? Perhaps. Or maybe Dr. Doug’s Bug Potion turned us into the sweet-smelling, fly-repelling rock stars of the campground!

The Miracle Balm

Review
When I was asked to do this review it was an immediate “yes”. I could say that I live with all the symptoms that these balms are created for. I am always looking for a solution that will be beneficial for my body made of natural ingredients.
When I received the product I was given a large twist of Bug Potion with Zinc and a trial version of all the rest of the products. In addition, I was sent a very cute handwritten letter thanking me and a nice card to better understand the details of all the potions. I am always more inclined to support a company that makes us feel welcome and important.
The product soon became my primary source of relief, trying different products each day to see what the result would be. It is easy to apply and will not leave you with a greasy feeling. Dr. Doug’s will mention that a little will go a long way. Once you apply it from the twist-up, you can spread it a lot further than expected. I found that each container lasted longer than I would have expected. I struggled with a skin condition on my feet and found relief when I remembered to apply the balm.
The smell was wonderful, especially the Bug Potion. It has a pleasant lemongrass scent. Our summer battle was more with flies and gnats and it would provide some temporary relief when enjoying the outdoors. This will become a staple in my house and a welcome addition to my camping kit.

Oh! I love the little packaged set – what a fun gift idea. I’m also into natural things instead of chemicals, so I try to stay away from things like OFF and other brands. I love that Dr. Doug’s Bug Potion is natural and smells great, which is important, too. I’ll definitely be trying this brand out, and thanks for the introduction!
I need this in my life. I live near a river and we get so many bugs from it. And hiking because the uk climate is so damp. I love that dr Doug’s ingredients are ethically sourced and sustainable. That’s a big thing for me when choosing products to purchase particularly those in the outdoors.

I love this! I am always looking for ways to keep bugs and mosquitoes away on our outdoor trips. Sometimes there are mosquitoes in your own backyard garden. When I get bitten, it takes ages to heal and the itch-feeling stays almost forever. I am buying this Miracle balm for my next trip. This is impressive as it has organic and all natural ingredients. It sounds like an interesting product that I could actually use around the house. Until the weather gets cold, I keep the door open all summer long, for the cat to come and go as he pleases. But this also brings a lot of flies inside the house. I don’t like chemical products so I usually just use a sticky tape to catch them. But this bug balm would be such a better idea, because it is made only with natural ingredients.

This balm and bug potion sounds perfect for me as I always get bitten, even in the house! The ingredients sound amazing and very soothing on the skin. I like that a little goes a long way. Do they sell internationally? It would be great to know if they sell in Europe.
I also prefer a natural organic bug repellent. I have never heard of the Dr Dougs products and I wonder if they available in Europe. But if I go camping in the US one day I would definitely try them.
I must admit that bugs are a big turnoff for me entering the wilderness. I might too have been skeptical that Dr Doug’s Miracle Balm and Bug Potion would work so well. Ohh wowo….I love natural ingredients product & specially interested with the balm as I easily get mosquito bites whenever at outdoor. Gonna check this out to grab the balm for my travel use.
I so have to check out these products and especially the bug balm. I could use a product like this when hiking as the bugs this year were horrendous with all of the rain BUT I will take it as we need it for the waterfalls and more! Thank you for sharing and checking out these products next!
My grandkids live near the waters and they’re always being bothered by mosquitoes and another insect. they also have very sensitive skin. I’ll have to let my daughter know about this product and see if it’ll work for her boys. thank you for the review

I like Dr. Doug’s balms. I use a similar product here at home and it’s always good for my skin as well as sinuses. I would definitely love to have these, for my next adventure.
Interesting that this potion reduced the count of flies. They must have hated the smell or something else about it.
I love that these are all-natural. Regular bug repellent with DEET makes my skin burn so bad. I’ll deal with a thousand mosquito bites before I’ll wear that stuff.
