What a helpful resource for women heading for the woods. I’ve done a bit of camping myself but I borrowed what I needed mostly from my brothers instead of getting the “girl” gear I would have been happier with.

Thanks to Trailheads for compiling this list! I love taking my kids hiking. The big one loves to camp, but the little one doesn’t, hopefully, there will a place on one of these lists that satisfies both!

At least if they both like hiking, that still gets them both out into nature and enjoying the benefits that has to offer, Abby. I’m sure that these blogs would also provide many more ideas of activities you can enjoy with your kids. Thanks for reading and commenting.

Congratulations to you! I love camping and being outside. I grew up in Montana and it was normal for females to enjoy everything that the men did!

That sounds so great Komal. Montana has a fantastic reputation for having so much in the way of natural beauty. I hope to get there someday and thank you very much for your comment.

Congratulations. How exciting! I think camping is such a great bonding moment with family and friends and try to organise one at least once a year. I only ever go in winter however coz I’m so paranoid about snakes ??

Although I love the outdoors, I have a love and hate relationship with camping. I have been three times and I loved 2/3 experiences. I may give it another go.

I love nature but I’ve never considered myself an outdoorsy person and I’ve definitely never been camping before. I’ love to glamp with amenities, though.

That’s great Kemi – the main thing here is your love of the outdoors, which is what this list of blogs is all about. Glamping is a favourite among so many readers as well.

I think the only time I went camping as such was when I was in college because I did tourism management other than that, I don’t think I have attempted it again. However, the broader outdoor blogs like this one are something that I benefit a lot from.

I have been camping a couple of times when I was younger, but it is something that really does not appeal to me these days. Great list of blogs for those who want to enjoy the outdoors though. Congrats on the additional recognition.

To be honest, I’ve never in my life, have been camping. I’d really like to one day. My husband keeps saying that he’s going to take us (me, him, and our daughter.) I’m glad you made a post like this, this will come in handy when I’m ready to do some research on camping.

Hi Rikki – Please bear in mind that these blogs and this award are more broadly about experiencing the outdoors, not just camping. That is also true about Camping for Women as well in that our focus is on the great outdoors – so if you are a fan of the outdoors, this would be of interest to you.
