Florida is high on the list of places in the US I want to visit. As I have some “bad visas” from Sudan, Iran etc. I do not qualify for the waiver anymore. Applying for a visa at the embassy seems a lot of hassle….and it is quite expensive. But your post reminded me, that it might be worth it!

When I hear of Florida, I associate it with beaches and theme parks. Thanks for the introduction to St. Augustine as I never really connect the historical places with this famous state. Yes, I’m definitely taking a visit to the Kennedy Space Center when given a chance!

As Canadians, Florida was often a regular winter vacation spot. We have visited some of the spots on your list. But we need to plan to visit the Everglades National Park on a visit. It would be great to see local wildlife in a natural environment. I did not know I could visit on an airboat from Miami Beach.

Florida is one of my favorite US states. We visited this state many years ago when our children were younger and my best memory is taking the airboat ride in Everglades. We also loved visiting the Kennedy Space centre and did the usual rounds of Sea World and Disney in Miami and Orlando. Looks like I have to plan another trip to cover Fort Myers, Tampa and Key West. Thanks for an informative blog post. 🙂

As a Canadian, Florida is almost considered a second hometown, providing a escape in the winters. My appeal would be to visit Miami, for its vibe- food, art, architecture and beautiful beaches and Key West- for its luxury accommodations!
