Lobster Grilling

Grilling Lobster preparationLooking for a new way to cook lobster?

Grilling Lobster is the perfect method for cooking lobster and a great way to enjoy this delicious seafood while camping. It’s easy, convenient, and delicious.

You can grill your lobster right before your eyes without any mess or fuss. Plus, you can make it in bulk and save money by buying more than one case of lobster instead of one at a time.

You can enjoy this meal all year round, but especially during these colder months when there’s not much seafood on the market. This recipe is perfect for bringing fresh seafood into your cooking routine for any occasion or holiday.

And don’t forget about leftovers – they’re great for lunch the next day or even as an appetizer at dinner parties. Here is a list of requirements:

Required Equipment

– Aluminum foil

– Shovel or spatula

– Grill

– skewers

– grill tongs or oven mitts

– A basting brush

Required Ingredients

– Lobster (that is at least 1-pound in weight)

– Salt

– Pepper

– Olive oil/-Vegetable Oil

– Garlic (optional)

– Herbs (optional)

– butter

Preparation Method

  1. Place the aluminum foil underneath the grill grates. This will help prevent oil from dripping onto your coals, which can cause them to burn out more quickly and lead to a less enjoyable grilled lobster experience.
  2. Make sure you have enough space on your grill for both your grilled lobster and any other food items you plan to cook while camping (i.e., vegetables, protein). Before placing your grilled lobster down on its back with claws tucked under it so that it doesn’t flip, overexposing its soft underside – this will keep your grilled lobsters’ meat inside moist instead of dry.
  3. The grilled lobster should be grilled for 15 minutes on each side. When done, it will turn bright red, and the meat inside its shell will have turned from translucent to white.

Cooking Tips

Grilling Lobster optionsLobster Grilling Ideas:

– Lobster grilling can be done whole or cut into pieces.

– Clean and devein the lobster by removing its head, legs, and tail. If you’re grilling in a pot or pan for extra safety, bring water to a boil before adding the lobsters.

-If you’re grilling lobster tails, look for hard shell lobsters that weigh approximately one pound each and are at least four inches long (Measure from the eye to where the tail meets).

-When choosing a live lobster, make sure the tail is curled under its body. If it’s not, that means the lobster was frozen and is no longer fresh

– Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (450 degrees F).

– Put the grilled side of each grilled lobster down on your grill first so that it can sear properly. Then place the grilled side up to finish cooking.

– Lobster grilling time will depend on how giant your lobster is, but typically it takes about 15 minutes for a one-pound lobster and 30 minutes for a two-pounder. Or grill until they are bright red.

– It’s easy to know when your grilled lobster is done by using the knuckle test: if you can easily pry the knuckle off with a fork, then it’s done.

– Brush with butter or oil, and season with salt and pepper.

– Serve immediately.
