Activities for Your Camping Bachelorette

Activities for Your Camping Bachelorette 1

Activities for Your Camping Bachelorette – the possibilities are virtually endless!

By Amanda Moore

You’ve finally decided on having a camping bachelorette. You’ve decided on your wedding party, issued out the invitations, picked out the campgrounds, the party’s theme—basically, everything is set and ready to go. It’s exhilarating and exciting and something brand new that you get to experience with your closest friends and family.

The only thing that can really make this better is planning the perfect activities for your camping bachelorette party. One of the best things about planning the activities is that your creativity has free reign and you can dream up any kind of activity that will make the party all the more memorable for the bride.

If the number of possibilities seems too daunting to figure out a starting place, no worries! We got you covered. Here are some awesome ideas for an amazing camping bachelorette party.

Hiking

Activities for Your Camping Bachelorette 2

This seems like a no-brainer, but it’s also important to talk about. You’re going camping, so naturally, you’re going to want to hike or do some kind of outdoor activity. (But mostly hike.) The US has thousands and thousands of different trails for you and your wedding party to explore; however, it’s crucial to not only remain safe through your entire trip but to also properly prepare for your trip.

The AllTrails app, which is available on both Android and iOS, details over 60,000 different trail maps. This app is handy, as it allows hikers to find the perfect trail, sifting through a plethora of different options, from long bike trails to kid and dog-friendly trails to gorgeous picturesque trails. The app will even tell you if a vehicle with off-roading capabilities is needed. With the ability to transform into a GPS tracker and record your pace, distance, elevation and speed, this app is all you need to find the perfect trail without the worry of ever being unprepared.

DIY Spa Day

Activities for Your Camping Bachelorette 3

Just because you didn’t choose to spend the day at a spa, doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t bring some of the spa with you. With a few inexpensive household items, you too can receive the pampering and relaxation that you would normally receive at a spa.

There are a plethora of different DIY hair and face masks that you can try out. They’re great because they’re easily accessible, they’re natural, and they’re less expensive than brand name skin care items. Not to mention, it’s more fun to create different natural concoctions to slather on your face and hair. Here’s some examples:

Avocado Honey Facial Cleanser

  • ½ cup Avocado Oil
  • 3 tbs Raw Honey
  • 2 tbs Castille Soap

Mix these ingredients until combined and use as a regular facial cleanser. Avocado oil is rich in vitamins and antioxidants and is also capable of penetrating the skin better than most plant-based oils. Honey is known for its antibacterial properties, making it ideal for acne treatment and prevention. This combination of everyday household items makes for an excellent skincare product that is easy to pack up and take with you on a camping trip.

Apple Cider Hair Treatment

  • 2 tbs Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 cup Water
  • Spray Bottle
  • Towel

After washing your hair in lukewarm water with a mild shampoo, squeeze the excess water out and apply the diluted ACV mixture to your hair. After 5 minutes, rinse the mixture out with cool water and allow your hair to air-dry. ACV helps detangle hair, and can also alleviate your scalp from residue and buildup gained from the usage of hair products. By applying ACV, you are reducing your scalp’s pH levels and clearing your hair of dandruff, resulting in healthier locks of hair.

Activities for Your Camping Bachelorette: Scavenger Hunts

Activities for Your Camping Bachelorette 4

You have the entire campground to use for the scavenger hunt—you don’t even need to go for a traditional hunt where you find items. Have your party guests do things in lieu of “finding” an item—catch a fish, take a picture of a bird, write a short message to the bride—these types of hunts are great because you’re providing people with experiences, they wouldn’t get anywhere else.

DIY Crafts

This idea is a throwback to childhood summer camps. If you’ve been to camp, then it’s a little nostalgic activity and if not, we guess it’s going to be your first time at a summer camp (if only for a little while.) You can make anything here! Beaded friendship bracelets, tie-dye shirts, rain sticks—you can even make flower crowns. (There’s something about flower crowns that makes camping seem more magical.)

Test Out Your Outdoor Cooking Skills

Since you’re going to be away from the modern-day conveniences afforded by the city, you are most likely going to be cooking. But that shouldn’t be a problem. Like this party, food allows you to be as creative as you want, so why not elevate your campfire cooking experience? Here are some fun foods to try out while camping:

  • S’mores: it’s a classic and deserves to be at the top of every list and we won’t hear anything else of it!
  • Hot Dogs: try wrapping it up in premade crescent roll dough—it’s like giant Pigs in a Blanket.
  • Shrimp Scampi: if you want something a little more festive, try your hand at these. By cooking it in foil, you’ll be able to make some evenly cooked, succulent shrimp. (If you have a pot nearby, boil up some linguini!)
  • Kebabs: what’s not to love? Crisp veggies and beautifully marinated meat grilled to perfection over an open flame. You can probably make a game of deciding who can make the best dipping sauce to accompany the kebab.
  • Blueberry Muffins: did you know that you can make muffins over a campfire? If you didn’t, now you do!
  • Hot Chocolate: it’s not a food, but we want to emphasize the importance of having a hot chocolate station.

Many people celebrate their bachelorette in five-star luxury hotels or cruises but camping nature for bachelorette is some unique idea. Thanks for sharing great beauty secrets related to skin and hair. I would try that avocado facial cleanser as I love beauty ingredients from kitchen shelf rather than chemical based ones. Improving outdoor cooking skills is also another good feature of this outing.

This is indeed the coolest idea for the bachelorette. Grab your girls gang, pack your hiking shoes and get crazy in the wild. There can be nothing better than scavenger hunts.

I must say there is something that is always innovative and informative on the posts on this site and this one just stands out. A camping bachelorette party really. What an idea . I must say could not have thought of one even but surely looks like the girls can have a great time and something different. Great to get all the basics right and some great pointers here to tick off before you go out in the wild. I would highly recommend this to one of my colleagues at work who was looking for ideas.

These are some great ideas to enliven a bachelorette party. I quite like the idea of a Scavenger hunt out in the open. The other one that I took a fancy to was the DIY spa. Both activities are sure to result in a lot of fun and bonhomie.

Making an outdoor cooking challenge is indeed a challenge. You have to make do with what you have. I think this would be a nice activity my mommy friends and I could do, but we’d probably set it up in someone else’s backyard. 🙂

A Camping Bachelorette is something am hearing for the first time. And I am like, this is something so cool, specially for outdoor lovers. Rather than getting wasted in a bar, and splurging your money, I would anyway prefer escaping to the quiet and solace of nature, and camp under the stars.

Scavenger hunt is also a great idea but requires a lot of planning ahead. The handicraft idea is also amazing and I so want to indulge in a creative spree.
